Photo Shoot in the Park

Had a great shot with Addison before he was off to Colorado. We went to one of my favorite spots, Peace Valley Park. There are so many cool nooks in this park. You have a ton of greenery, the water and the docks. There are some colorful boats too. It was sweltering that day! It was 95 and the humidity was 95%! So this shoot took about 45 minutes and we were both exhausted! The edits were pretty simple, Photoshop & a few actions.

Edit Day

This day is almost as exciting, if not more, than the actual photo session. This is where my creativity kicks into high gear! First of all, let me state that I shoot in RAW and on manual. This way I have total creative control. I can spend the day editing. Not because I am correcting mistakes I made, (though sometimes that is the case), but because the possibilities are endless. I start with this flat, undeveloped image and can create just about anything I want. I can easily change the feel of a picture, add movement or enhance mood. I challenge you all to take a photo and see how many looks you can achieve from it.

Here is an image I took an early spring day. To enhance the mood, I added a warm overlay & enhanced the light, along with a few other edits. I used Paint the Moon's Reverie Collection. This is an excellent way to try out some actions and add a like pizazz to your photos.

This is the final image.

I also added some snow effects & light overlays on some other shots. Like I said, I could play with these actions for hours!

So I encourage you to explore your creativity and have fun with your pictures!
